Floors

The floors in the S & S house are very different from other dollhouse or model floors I've done. From watching the movie, the floors are very worn to the point of being gray/blue in color. And they are not polished in anyway.	I'm not sure how I'm going to do the floors, but I'm trying a couple of methods. The first is to attach sticks to a hard service like actual planks and stain.	The second is to cut grooves in a piece of bass wood and stain.	Comparing the two methods. These photos don't really show the color of the stain very well. It's actually more gray than blue.
I put the floor in the entry because its going to be difficult to get to this area as the walls go up. I'm using strips of pre-glued veneer that you iron. I'm ironing on to matt board and not attaching to the actual floor itself.
