Electrical

Beginning the electrical work. I'm using round wire and a bit of tape wire. I will have 22 lights in the house when complete.
Sept21
I plan on running the wire under the house for the first floor and under the flooring on upper floors.
Sept07
Looks like a bit of a mess now, but I'm trying to keep it straight.
Sept12
Laying the tape wire. This acts as a socket for the round wires. I've laid the tape wire under the planned back staircase so that when I attach the staircase it will be covered. I'll find a way to temporarily attach the staircase for access. Probably with velcro.
Sept23
I use brads to attach the round wire to the tape. I put in 44 tiny brads. Use an awl to make a hole for the brad first and it goes much easier. Then place with tweezers and use a small hammer to push in.
Sept24
All of the wires are attached to the brads. Each wire is labeled with the floor. Once I determine the actual light fixture will work, I plan on placing a dab of silicon gel on each brad to make sure the connections don't touch and stay put. The lead has also been attached.
Sept25
Testing the end of the tape with a tester to make sure the tape wire is getting a current.
